Pinup girl Deepika Padukone set for stardom

It was inevitable that Deepika Padukone, 20, would find her way to mainstream Bollywood cinema. The mesmerizing eyes and svelte figure, that landed her a month on the Kingfisher Swimsuit Calendar for 2006, were one day sure to catapult her to stardom.
Done with promoting Liril, Close Up and Limca, Deepika Padukone has been inexorable looping towards stardom much like the shuttle from a baseline rally shot from her father, former badminton ace Prakash Padukone.
The inevitable happened and a Bollywood breakthrough has landed Padukone straight in the arms of none other than King Khan, opposite whom she has now been cast in Farah Khan's Happy New Year (Formerly titled Om Shanti Om). The film additionally stars Amitabh Bachchan, Juhi Chawla, Sanjay Dutt, Zayed Khan and Raveena Tandon.
"I've grown up watching Shah Rukh Khan and never really imagined that one day I will get to play the lead opposite him", said the coy beauty. Thank god she didn't say Shah Rukh Khan uncle!
But that is more good news for the actor, who recently took a three months acting course in Anupam Kher's acting school. There are reports that she has also been cast opposite Abhishek Bachchan in Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra's Delhi 6
Deepika has so far appeared in just a single Kannada film - Aishwarya. The way Bollywood filmmakers are tripping all over each other to sign her up Aishwarya may well be her last Kannada film.

Deepika Padukone is another super model who is turn to actor. She is going to make her debut in Bollywood soon. She is doing extremely well in South. But right now she is not signing another projects there. Farah Khan's film in which she cast opposite none other than Shah Rukh Khan may start only in December.
